How it works
The present tense is for what happens now, habits and general facts: Trabajo en Madrid. With a time word it can also mean the near future: Mañana trabajo.
Most Spanish verbs end in -ar. To conjugate a regular one, drop -ar and add the ending of the person: hablar → habl- → hablo.
