Two plural “you” forms

In Spain there are two ways to say “you” to a group:

  • vosotros / vosotras: informal — friends, family, classmates, children.
  • ustedes: formal — strangers, customers, older people.

vosotros has its own verb endings; vosotras is for groups of women only. Its object pronoun is os and its possessive vuestro (vuestra casa).
